Dottie and Anne have worked together for over 30 years. During that time, Dottie has been involved in every aspect of the business. Over the last few years her job focus has been in accounting and business administration. In addition to her position with Anne, Dottie also teaches beading classes and does commission bead work. Dottie enjoys gardening and taking care of her dog, 2 cats and many poison dart frogs.
Construction manager. Schedule and coordination of sub-contractors. Site visits/inspection of sub-contractors work. Works with designers to resolve issues. Drafting/design.
Associate AIA, has worked in various forms with Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design for the last 10 years. Ty earned his Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Design at the University of Florida. He has worked with several architectural firms in the area and this experience allows him incorporate and architectural perspective not found in most traditional interior design firms. Ty has lived in Florida for more than twenty years, most of which have been in Sarasota, with ties to the area ranging back 4 generations.
Lorae Chambers is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee and relocated to Sarasota in 2007 to work for Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design. She graduated in 2005 with her degree in Interior Design, and received her NCIDQ certification in 2006. Lorae has been working in the design industry for 8 years. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, traveling, and oil painting.
As an Assistant Interior Designer Lorae's duties include client consultation, design concepts, analysis & development. Client presentation, site visits, schematic sketches, space planning, and rendering. Assistance to Senior Designers in the selection and coordination of furniture, finishes, and materials. Production of design development and construction documents. Coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
Interior Designer. Florida Licensed. Allied A.S.I.D. Client consultation, project analysis, determination of project requirements, site visits, field measurements, existing furnishing inventory, design analysis & development of design concept and space planning. Project management such as inspection of work in progress, installation, supervision, post installation evaluation and client service.
Originally from the New Jersey Shore, Lynda has been in Sarasota for 10 years and with AFSID for the past 5 ½ years. She is the Purchasing Director and processes client proposals, purchase orders and accounts payable. Her hobbies include gardening and she is an avid animal lover.
Cindi grew up in Sarasota returning to the area after college and brief stops in Atlanta and Dallas. Her passion for animals led her to volunteer with the local Racing Dog Rescue for retired Greyhounds. After many years in retail, Cindi joined the AFSID team in 1998 where her responsibilities include; client communications and correspondence, receiving and shipping of merchandise and project installations.
Jeanne's duties include updating and maintaining the resource library. She also assists the Construction Manager with scheduling subcontractors, tracking job costs, status reports for clients and also assists with installations. Jeanne was born in Philadelphia, educated in Maryland and moved to Sarasota 30 years ago. Her hobbies include reading, sewing & gardening and she is also the proud mother of Kyle.
Susan is a transplanted Pittsburgher with a BFA from the University of California at Los Angeles. She is a professional Member of IIDA and proud member of the AFSID team since 1995 where her responsibilities include: Providing project organization and design assistance to senior designers, establishing and maintaining contact between designers and subcontractors, meeting with manufacturer's representatives and purchasing samples for the design library.
As a design assistant, Rebecca's duties include preliminary/schematic design, project analysis and research, design development and space planning. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from IADT in interior design prepared her to be the newest member of the AFSID team. Originally from Virginia, Rebecca has found a home in the Sarasota area for the past ten years. Drawn to the area because of its crystal clear waters, she spends most of her free time boating, scuba diving and swimming.
